Take my friendship for granted too.
Because the truth is they are both
Already granted unto you.

As constant as the Northern Star,
Well that's a phrase that people use,
But you and I we know enough
To know the Northern Star moves too.

It's only that the Northern Star
Moves right along with you -
So you don't notice it's still there
Until the course that's changed is you...

But wherever your journey takes you
You can look and I'll be there
Like the star's familiar motion
You can believe I'll always care.
